Monthly Meetings
NEXT MONTHLY MEETING: September 2, 2008 @ 7:00 PM

Monthly meetings are normally held on the first Tuesday of each month in the training room located on the third floor of Beach Ford's new building. The meeting starts at 7:00pm, but come early to show off your Stang. Weather permitting, we sometimes hold the meeting outside. The club occasionally meets a second time each month for a cruise. The details of the mid-month cruise are discussed at the meetings. Members are encouraged to suggest ideas for mid-month cruises.

Directions to our meetings are as follows:

Beach Ford

The Founding
The first meeting of the Southeastern Virginia Mustang Club was held at the Bus Depot of Bob Galloway in January of 1984. It was an MCA club at that time. Those in attendance were Joyce Saunders, Calvin Saunders, Bob Galloway and Mark Rosendahl. Officers were elected and Joyce Saunders was elected as the first club President. It was decided that the first official meeting was to be held at Bill Bruce Ford. The club's first car show was held at Greenbrier Mall, with 11 vehicles present. A 1964 Mustang and a 1984 GT Turbo were in attendance. The first club picnic was held at Joyce Saunders’ home on Old Carolina Road in Virginia Beach . Despite the dealership changing hands a couple of times, the club remained.

Stan Baker presents Sam Cliver with a plaque from SEVMC. Sam Cliver is one of the founding father's of Southeastern Virginia Mustang Club. As a small token of appreciation, our club President Stan Baker (2004) presented Sam with a plaque. Sadly, Sam has passed, but his wife, Sylvia, remains active in the club.
