Maybe show participants would rather cruise the streets of Virginia Beach on Saturday evening as opposed to the proposed indoor karting event. In talking to city officials, a 200 car procession would require a parade permit. Although not out of the question maybe visitors would rather cruise in a semi organized fashion where a start point, mid point and end would be selected and cars would proceed at their leisure.

I think this sounds like fun. I will add it as an idea in my next email to those who are already registered.

Roger. I will contact the Public Affairs Officer and see if it will be any problem getting to the Light Houses as one of our stops. I think it is already open to the general public, but will let them know what we would like to do.

Cruise Virginia Beach is being planned for Saturday evening. Interested parties will meet at the show site at 7 pm and will depart from there. Participants will travel north on Independence Blvd, right on Pleasure House Road, right on North Hampton, right on Shore Drive to the ocean front. Left on Atlantic Ave around the loop to a midpoint destination to be determined. Participants will travel at their own pace, under the speed limit of course, during the cruise. Participants are encouraged to return west on 264 towards the show site for a variety cruising speeds and scenery. Cruise maps will be included in goodie bags and hospitality room at the Westin.
