Anyone interested in a day trip to Cape Charles, VA?

Saturday June 20 is the day of choice for the majority. We'll leave from Lake Wright at 9 am.

It's a great little town with shops, restaurants, nice beach, historic homes, etc. I have been wanting to organize a trip and there has been some attempt to coordinate with a local restaurant but hasn't panned out. We get there early and we can parallel park on the main street or down by the beach.

It's a 38 mile drive that takes just under an hour from Lake Wright. There is a $17 cost to travel the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel both ways for the day.

Actually, Bobby, if you return within 24hrs, the fee coming back over the Ches Bay bridge tunnel is only $5. So you pay the $17 one way, return the same day, and it's only $5 on the way back.

I checked the bridge website before i posted. it says $12 one way and $5 return trip if i'm not mistaken for a total of $17.

I'll see what others say as far as the date goes before we consider a change.

First I've heard of the PME gig...I picked that day because there was nothing on our calender or VPCCC....that's 2 yeas and 4 nays so far for June 6....let's hear it if you're interested in this cruise...thanks
